The sessions are dedicated to Jamaican music and dub, reggae and bass music sounds all over the world inspired by Horror films, concepts, art and a certain dark spooky haunting aesthetic. Intimidatah spoke with Rico about classic French reggae, the French Dub touch movement, haunted dub, afrobeat, horror film themed dancehall, post-punk and Carribbean music artworks.

Their work is a testament to the free creative approach exercised by the crew during the recordings: no matter what style they’re working with, the result is always delivered with flair and finesse. have released some great albums, like “Signz” and “Wild” and produced dub poet Nazamba, one of the greatest Jamaican exports. They soon founded their own Dubquake Records label. Their style brought a fresh breeze in the dub world, and they were embraced by the French Dub touch movement. creates music with all kind of drum machines and synths, mixing roots rock reggae with new digital sounds. They love roots reggae and world music but they also like the new digital stuff comin from everywhere.
Influenced by different music, they developped their own style. O.B.F.’s identity and style has been built across the globe: from the heights of Alps to the burning sun of Jamaica, between headline performances at Spanish festivals and sets in the barrios of Latin America or the dancehalls of London, their music is unlike any other. In the early 2000’s they decided to build their own sound system so Original Bass Foundation was born, inspirated by UK and Jamaican sound systems with heavy bass scoops, on which they could drop some heavy bass pressure, sharp mid and top range section and get the proper feeling of the reggae and dub music. They soon realised they need a powerfull sound system to play their selections in Geneva and the French underground venues. are Rico and G., who started collecting music in the late 90’s from revival roots to UK dub style.
